A Carotid Ultrasound is an ultrasound taken of the carotids (an artery running down the neck). There are two main carotid arteries, which are located on each side of the neck and carry blood from the heart to the brain.

The ultrasound provides detailed images of the blood vessels, as well as lots of useful information on the amount of blood flowing through them.
